TO RUN CIM SUCCESSFULLY, YOU NEED SOME HARDWARE:

• An Amiga with Kickstart/Workbench 2.1 (not tested), 3.0 or better strongly recommended. (Old versions (V1.337 and older) may run under WB V1.3 with arp.library in LIBS:)
  
• A hard drive, CIM uses direct disk accesses to find the caller data
• MC680X0 microprocessor
• 3 Mb of free memory (Old versions may also barely run on Amigas with 2 Mb RAM)
• A modem supporting Caller ID (CID) such as Intertex (V.34 with ROM V1.13A or better) and Supra modems with CID ROM.
  
  To test if your modem has the CallerId support, write the following in a terminal program: AT#CID=1, if you do not get an error message then your modem is likely to have CallerId-support. However this dosen't mean it will work in your country because there are different modulations and versions of CallerId data transfer. Contact your local phone company and refer your modems manual for further details.
  
  As a rough rule, example Intertex and other European modems should work in Europe (Except in Great Britain, which has it's own CallerId-system, at least new Pace-modems should work there), Supra and other US-made in (Norhern) America and so on.
  

CIM has been developed and tested on the following platforms:

• Amiga 4000/040 25 Mhz, 18 MB ram, AOS 3.0 (Kick & Wb), Intertex 28.8 V.34 external modem (ROM V1.13A->)
  
  
• Amiga 4000/060 50 MHz + 604e 180 Mhz (Cyberstorm PPC from phase 5), 64 MB RAM, AOS 3.0, 3.1 (Kick 3.0) and 3.5 (Kick 3.1), RBM's IOBlix io-card, Intertex IX56 Extended external modem
  
  

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:

• Correctly installed Workbench (2.1 or better)
  
  
• v42.12 or newer Installer
  
  
• ThinPazB font installed in FONTS: Available from Aminet ThinpazB.lha. Included in CIM V3 distriutions.
  
  
• rexxhost.library version 37.1 or better installed in LIBS: It's available from Aminet /dev/misc/rexxhostlib.lha Included in CIM V3 distriutions.
  
  
• OwnDevUnit-library installed in LIBS: It's available from Aminet /comm/misc/OwnDevUnit.lha and from Fred Fish Disk Library. Included in CIM V3 distriutions.
  
  
• And the latest version of CIM

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

You may also need to enable the Caller ID data transfer (if available in your area) from your local phone company (Caller Id-service). The service may also have a monthly charge. In Finland it's something between 0-3 USD.
